ABSTRACT:
A process for the preparation of a polyolefin by polymerization of at least one olefin, the said process comprising contacting the at least one olefin with a catalytic system comprising a metallocene and a cocatalyst, wherein the metallocene is selected from the group consisting of rac-2,2-dimethylpropylidene(1-.eta..sup.5 -cyclopentadienyl)(1-,.eta..sup.5 -fluorenyl)dichlorometallocene of titanium, zirconium, hafnium and vanadium.
Syndiotactic polypropylene having a melting temperature T.sub.m from 95.degree. to 160.degree. C., a syndiotactic pentad fraction [rrrr] from 0,91 to 0,96, a crystalline fraction f.sub.C from 25 to 50% and a viscosity-average molecular weight M.sub.v from 60,000 to 200,000.
