A wiper pivot for a wiper apparatus of motor vehicles, which is provided with a pivot holder3having a shaft-holding portion3bto rotatably support a pivot shaft2,and a body-fixing portion3dto be fixed to the vehicle body and formed in one body of resin together with the shaft-holding portion3bthrough a connecting portion3c,and the connecting portion3cis further provided with a thin-walled destructible portion4to be destroyed at the time when impulsive force exceeding the predetermined value is applied on the pivot shaft2.
