ABSTRACT:
A polygonal mirror used to scan a laser flux is inclined with respect to a mounting surface of a housing of the optical scanning device, in such a manner that the beam incident to the polygonal mirror is parallel to the mounting surface, enabling the reduction of the housing in the sub-scanning direction.
