ABSTRACT:
A method of manufacturing a threaded joint for oil well pipe having a pin part with a male thread, a box part with a female thread, metal seal parts provided on the pin part and the box part, respectively, and torque shoulder parts provided at the tip of the pin part and at the portion of the box part coming in contact with the tip of the pin part, respectively, comprising the step of providing a design procedure for determining the dimensions of each part, whereby an highly strong threaded joint showing an excellent leak resistance to internal and external pressures can be designed and manufactured.
