ABSTRACT:
The present invention provides a lid1for a beverage cup. The lid1has a generally annular side wall6, a rib7depending from the side wall6, and a top wall5extending radially inward from the side wall6. The lid1further includes a central region4positioned radially inward of the top wall5. The central region4has a well4bwith a notched portion24. The lid1also includes a projection18extending from a portion of the side wall6. A living hinge formed by a line of weakness at the base23of the projection18permits the projection18to pivoted between an open position and a closed position. The central region4has a shoulder portion24that engages the tip20of the projection18to secure the projection18in the open position.
