ABSTRACT:
There is disclosed a novel method and product for the treatment and prevention of rheumatoid arthritis. The method involves passive immunization against a mixed spectrum of infectious bacteria which reside in the human gastrointestinal tract. The passive immunization is accomplished by oral[injestion] ingestion of IgG immunoglobulin obtained from the milk of cows that have been immunized against a specific spectrum of bacterial types. A unique combination of bacterial species is formulated into a vaccine which is used to immunize dairy cattle. The IgG antibody obtained from the milk of the immunized cows constitutes the product of the invention.
