ABSTRACT:
A magnetic head comprises cores made of a magnetic substance that forms a magnetic circuit via a gap when a magnetic flux is induced there. The magnetic head also comprises a plurality of coils that are wound around the cores and induce a magnetic flux in the cores when a electric current is supplied thereto. The magnetic head also comprises a slider made of a magnetic substance that has as its integral parts a sliding contact portion that is in sliding contact with a magnetic recording medium and a core contact portion that contacts the core and forms, together with the cores, a closed magnetic circuit.
