ABSTRACT:
Process for oxidizing aromatic and aliphatic compounds, by using, in aqueous solution, an enzymatic system constituted by hydrogen, peroxide as the oxidizer compound, peroxidase and activated oxygen, or an enzyme which releases activated oxygen from H.sub.2 O.sub.2.
In the preferred process, the enzymatic system is a double-enzyme one, in which peroxidase and catalase are used as enzymes.
