ABSTRACT:
The present invention provides a liquid crystal composition satisfying many characteristics required to liquid crystal compositions for AM-LCD, having a preferable .DELTA.n value in proportion to the cell thickness, and having very low threshold value suitable for driving at low voltage.
The liquid crystal composition of the present invention comprises as the first constituent at least one compound selected from the group consisting of compounds represented by particular formula (I) and as the second constituent at least one compound selected from the group consisting of compounds represented by particular formulas (II-1)-(II-7). ##STR1##
