ABSTRACT:
A silver halide photographic emulsion which comprises at least one compound represented by the formula (I): ##STR1## where Z represents an atomic group necessary to complete an oxazole nucleus, a benzoxazole nucleus or a naphthoxazole nucleus, R.sub.1 represents a substituted or unsubstituted alkyl group, R.sub.2 represents an alkoxycarbonylalkyl group, a hydroxyalkyl group, a hydroxyalkoxyalkyl group, a carbamoylalkyl group, a hydroxyphenyl group or a hydroxyalkylphenyl group, and R.sub.3 and R.sub.4 which may be the same or different each represents a hydrogen atom, an alkyl group, an alkoxy group, a chlorine atom or a carboxyl group, and a lithographic silver halide material containing the same.
