ABSTRACT:
A color photographic material has on a support at least one blue-sensitive layer, at least one green-sensitive layer and at least one red-sensitive layer, and further has an emulsion layer capable of imparting an interlayer effect to the red-sensitive layer. The interlayer effect-donating layer is color-sensitized with both a sensitizing dye of formulae (I) and a sensitizing dye of formula (II): ##STR1## where R.sub.11, R.sub.12, R.sub.21 and R.sub.22 each represents an alkyl group; Z.sub.11 and Z.sub.21 each represents a group of atoms necessary for forming a benzene ring; Z.sub.12 represents a group of atoms necessary for forming a benzothiazzole nucleus or a benzoselenazole nucleus; Z.sub.22 represents a group of atoms necessary for forming a benzoxazole nucleus or a naphthoxazole nucleus; X.sub.11 and X.sub.21 each represents a charge-balancing pair ion; and m and n each represents 0 or 1. The material has an excellent color reproducibility and gives a color image with high chroma and graininess.
