ABSTRACT:
A positioning of a plurality of optical fibers11is performed by a pair of position regulating members12aand12b.Then, the paired position regulating members12aand12bare moved along two guide members13, 13in such a manner as to have a predetermined distance therebetween. A ribbon support member15is placed between the paired position regulating members12aand12bin such a way as to support the optical fibers11.The plurality of optical fibers11are held and fixed by the holding members17aand17b.Further, the plurality of optical fibers11put on the ribbon support member15are sandwiched by the ribbon support member15and the pressing tool19opposed thereto. In a terminal portion structure110aof a ribbon fiber10,terminal portions of optical fibers102are arranged horizontally in parallel, an adhesive tape is stuck onto at least one of upper and lower surfaces of at least the terminal portions.
