ABSTRACT:
The present invention relates to the field ofStreptococcus. More specifically, the present invention relates to the identification of polypeptides and polynucleotide sequences encoding the same which are involved in the pathogenic mechanism ofS. suis. The present invention also relates to the use of such polypeptides in compositions and methods for the prevention, the treatment and diagnosis ofS. suis-associated diseases and infections caused byS. suis.
