ABSTRACT:
A color photographic element includes a support, a silver halide emulsion layer, and associated therewith a yellow dye-forming coupler having the formula ##STR1## wherein R.sup.1 represents a tertiary alkyl group containing 4 to about 20 carbon atoms; R.sup.2 represents an alkyl, aryl, or heterocyclic group; X represents hydrogen or a substituent; Y and Z each independently represent a group consisting of those substituents having a Hammett sigma.sub.para constant greater than zero; and m and n is each 1 to 4.
