ABSTRACT:
There is provided an electrical connector in which the retaining force of retaining a front cover is improved. Electrical connectors1, and1′ each have a housing10having contact accommodating cavities13; a front cover20that is attached to the front side of the housing10and that has mating connector inserting openings24at positions that correspond to the contact accommodating cavities13; and a retainer30that is attached form the lower side of the housing10and that locks contacts accommodated in the contact accommodating cavities13. Retaining means27, 28, 32, and33is arranged at the front cover20and the retainer30to cause the retainer30to retain the front cover20.
