ABSTRACT:
The wire30forming the stator winding20includes the in-slot portions40to be disposed in the slots14and15of the stator core12and the turned portions42connecting the in-slot portions40disposed in the circumferentially different slots14and15. The turned portions42formed on axial opposite end sides of the stator core12. The crank portion44which does not twist is formed at substantially the center of the turned portion42. Steps are formed at sections of the turned portion42which protrude outside the stator core12from the slots14and15. Further, the turned portion42of the wire30also has two steps48formed between the substantially central crank portion44and each of the steps46formed at the protruding sections of the turned portion42.
