ABSTRACT:
The invention provides an image scanning apparatus stabilizing a behavior of a document in scanning an image and enabling to promote image scanning accuracy. The image scanning apparatus according to the invention includes a resist roller22for feeding a document, a discharge roller28disposed in a feeding direction of the resist roller22for feeding the document and a first optical carriage A for scanning the image of the document in feeding the document by the resist roller22and the discharge roller28. The resist roller22and the discharge roller28are respectively driven by a first motor150and a second motor160. Further, when the document is charged to the discharge roller28, document feed speed of the resist roller22in scanning document is made to be increased.
