A method comprises an opposing step of arranging a light-shielding film50having a recessed surface52and a pinhole54formed within the recessed surface52such that an end face54X of the pinhole54of the light-shielding film50on the recessed surface52side and a light exit surface4B oppose each other, while the shortest distance A52between the light-shielding film50and a medium-opposing surface S in a thickness direction of the light-shielding film50is shorter than the shortest distance A54between the end face54X of the pinhole54on the side opposite from a transparent substrate58and the light exit surface4B; a light-emitting step of causing a light-emitting device3to emit emission light3A; and a detecting step of detecting the light transmitted through the pinhole54after being emitted from the light exit surface4B.
