ABSTRACT:
A method of controlling plant growth is provided comprising applying to the plants or to a habitat thereof a herbicidally effective amount of a compound having the structure: ##STR1## wherein R.sup.1 is selected from the group consisting of carboxy, cyano, ester ##STR2## wherein R.sup.2 is selected from the group consisting of a straight-chained alkyl group or a branched-chained alkyl group, of about 1 to 8 carbon atoms.
