ABSTRACT:
Composition consisting of a mixture of (E) and (Z) isomers of esters of general formula: ##STR1## in which R represents a C.sub.1 -C.sub.4 alkyl radical, containing at least 85% of (E) isomer.
A process for preparing such a composition. The use of such a composition for preparing (E)-2-propyl-2-pentenoic acid of formula: ##STR2## and also its pharmaceutically acceptable salts.
