ABSTRACT:
A camera includes a blank advance device for advancing in blank a given amount of a film in the direction of film winding after a leader part of the film is pulled out from a cartridge, a discrimination circuit for making a discrimination between the adequacy and inadequacy of the film advancing action of the blank advance device, and a first control circuit arranged to cause the film to be rewound until the leader part of the film comes to a given position if the film advancing action of the blank advance device is determined to be inadequate by the discrimination circuit after the operation of the blank advance device.
