Piperidinyl-substituted cyclohexanes of Formula I have anti-ischemic properties: ##STR1## wherein R=R.sub.1 and is independently H or halogen; or R and R.sub.1 may be taken together to form an --O(CH.sub.2).sub.m O-- (m=1 or 2);
