ABSTRACT:
The bicycle can be disassembled in a compact arrangement, and comprises front and rear foldable subassemblies, and first and second couplers for detachably connecting these front and rear subassemblies together. The couplers connect respectively a front end of the crossbar to the head tube, and a lower end of the down tube to the pedal crank axle housing. The front subassembly includes a down tube having an upper end pivotally connected to the head tube for folding the down tube over the front wheel fork. The rear subassembly includes a seat tube having a lower end pivotally connected to the pedal crank axle housing for folding the seat tube over the chain stay, a crossbar having a rear end connected to an upper end of the seat tube for folding the crossbar over the seat tube, and a seat stay having an upper end detachably connected to the upper end of the seat tube and a pair of legs whose ends are pivotally connected respectively to corresponding ends of a pair of legs of the chain stay such that the seat stay can be folded over the chain stay. The front and rear wheels can be also disassembled in the compact arrangement of the bicycle. A special bag is provided for carrying or storing the bicycle in the compact arrangement.
