ABSTRACT:
Alkylated aromatic primary amines undergo disproportionation and transalkylation in the presence of a catalyst comprising activated carbon or unmodified graphite and a Group VIIIA metal at a temperature between 200.degree. C. and 500.degree. C. Suitable Group VIIIA metals are selected from the group consisting of platinum, palladium, nickel, cobalt or mixtures thereof.
