ABSTRACT:
An aluminum oxide mass characterized by a specific surface area greater than or equal to 70 m.sup.2 /g and a narrow pore radius distribution, with at least 90% of the pore radii being approximately 0.5 to 2.5 nm, preferably approximately 1.7 to 2.2 nm.
