ABSTRACT:
A rewinder for producing rolls or logs (R) of web material (N) comprises at least a roller (5, 7, 8) rotating at a speed proportional to the feeding speed of the web material (N), members (10, 11, 13) defining a winding space for the formation of the log (R), a pusher (15) for introducing a core into the winding space, and a cutting device (10, 21, 23, 25) for cutting the web material (N) at the end of the winding of each individual log (R). The rewinder. further comprises a mechanism (41, 61) for automatically varying the phase of the motion of the cutting device (10, 21, 23, 25) with respect to the motion of the web material (N).
