ABSTRACT:
Linear polyesters are produced by esterification of aromatic dicarboxylic acids with cyclic alkylene carbonates in the presence of organic compounds containing at least one six-membered aromatic nitrogen-containing heterocyclic moiety followed by polycondensation of the resulting low molecular weight ester.
