ABSTRACT:
Low color residue acrylate esters are produced by reacting an organic polyol such as neopentyl glycol, pentaerythritol, or 3'-hydroxy-2',2'-dimethylpropyl 3-hydroxy-2,2-dimethylpropionate with acrylic or methacrylic acid in contact with a lower alkoxy substituted phenolic or alkylated alkoxyphenolic polymerization inhibitor at a critical low reaction temperature of from 20.degree. C. to 80.degree. C.
