ABSTRACT:
A process for the preparation of a hydroxybenzaldoxime O-ether of the formula ##STR1## in which R.sup.1 is alkyl, alkenyl or alkynyl
comprising reacting a hydroxybenzaldehyde of the formula ##STR2## in the presence of an acid catalyst at a temperature between 50.degree. to 150.degree. C. with a ketoxime O-ether of the formula ##STR3## in which R.sup.2 and R.sup.3 each independently is an aliphatic cycloaliphatic or aromatic radical, or
