ABSTRACT:
A tungsten-halogen lamp employs a quantity of loose copper particles within the envelope to function as an oxygen getter. The loose particles allow the copper to be positioned in the lowest, and thus coolest, part of the lamp whereby the lamp can be burned in any orientation.
