ABSTRACT:
A silver halide photographic light-sensitive material includes at least one light-sensitive silver halide emulsion layer on a support. A silver halide emulsion contained in at least one emulsion layer contains grains having an average grain diameter of 0.3 .mu.m or more, an average grain thickness of less than 0.5 .mu.m and an average grain diameter/average grain thickness ratio of 2 or more in a percentage of at least 50% of a total projected area of emulsion grains. The emulsion is chemically sensitized in the presence of at least one compound represented by the following formula (I): ##STR1## wherein X represents hydrogen or alkaline metal, and R represents hydrogen, halogen or alkyl having 1 to 5 carbons.
