ABSTRACT:
An improved transducer utilizes an acoustic delay line to adjust the phase f the acoustic output from the out-of-phase portion of a free resonant flexural disc so that it is constructively added to the acoustic output generated from the remaining portion of the resonant flexural disc. The improved transducer combines an acoustic coupler with the housing structure of the transducer for the purpose of increasing the radiation resistance load on the vibratile disc to achieve increased acoustic output from the transducer.
