ABSTRACT:
A grip for a golf club shaft defined by a resilient strip that is spirally wrapped about the shaft of the golf club to vary the longitudinal profile of the shaft and grip as compared to the original longitudinal profile of the golf club shaft. Such grip may be readily applied by a golfer as a replacement for the original grip. The resilient strip may be spirally wrapped about a sleeve that has been positioned on the golf club shaft or, alternatively, about the bare golf club shaft.
