ABSTRACT:
A silver halide photographic light-sensitive material which comprises a support, a hydrophilic colloid layer or layers and a silver halide emulsion layer or layers, wherein at least one of said silver halide emulsion layers contains tabular silver halide grains having a diameter:thickness ratio of 5:1 or more and at least one compound represented by the following general formula (I) or general formula (II): ##STR1## wherein Z.sub.1 represents the non-metal atoms necessary to complete a 5- or 6-membered heterocyclic ring; R.sub.1 represents an unsubstituted or substituted alkyl group; R.sub.2 represents an unsubstituted or substituted aryl group with up to 2 aromatic fused rings, or an unsubstituted or substituted aralkyl group; R.sub.3 represents a hydrogen atom or with R.sub.1 an alkylene group forming a ring; R.sub.4 represents a hydrogen atom, an unsubstituted or substituted lower alkyl group, an unsubstituted or substituted aryl group, or an unsubstituted or substituted aralkyl group; n represents 0 or 1, with n being 0 when an inner salt is formed; and X represents an acid anion.
