ABSTRACT:
A silver halide photographic material comprising at least one compound represented by formula (I): ##STR1## wherein X represents a hydrogen atom or a group which can become a hydrogen atom by hydrolytic action, Time represents a divalent connecting group, t represents 0 or 1, PUG represents a development inhibitor, V represents a carbonyl group, ##STR2## a sulfonyl group, a sulfoxy group, ##STR3## (R.sub.0 represents an alkoxy group or an aryloxy group), an iminomethylene group, a thiocarbonyl group or ##STR4## (W represents an electron attractive group), R represents a hydrogen atom, a substituted or unsubstituted aliphatic group, a substituted or unsubstituted aromatic group, or ##STR5## (PUG, Time, t and W are as defined above); and at least one compound represented by formula (II): ##STR6## wherein R.sub.1 represents a substituted or unsubstituted aliphatic group or a substituted or unsubstituted aromatic group, R.sub.2 represents a hydrogen atom, an alkyl group, an aryl group, an alkoxy group, an aryloxy group, an amino group, a hydrazino group, a carbamoyl group or an oxycarbonyl group, each of which may be substituted, G.sub.1 represents a carbonyl group, a sulfonyl group, a sulfoxy group, ##STR7## a thiocarbonyl group, or an iminomethylene group, A.sub.1 and A.sub.2 each represents a hydrogen atom, or one of A.sub.1 and A.sub.2 represents a hydrogen atom while the other represents a substituted or unsubstituted alkylsulfonyl group, a substituted or unsubstituted arylsulfonyl group, or a substituted or unsubstituted acyl group.
