ABSTRACT:
The present invention describes the production of high molecular weight polyhydric alcohols and their derivatives. In particular the urethane reaction products of polyisocyanates and polyhydric alcohols are described. The particular urethane products of the present invention are obtained using an alcohol having a terminal hydroxyl functionality and a geminal hydroxymethyl structure.
