ABSTRACT:
A catalyst prepared by reacting a dihalide, such as MgCl.sub.2 ; a titanium compound, such as a titanium tetraalkoxide; and an electron donor to form a first catalyst component; then reacting that component with an organoaluminum halide; then reacting the resulting solid with TiCl.sub.4 ; and then reacting the solid after that step with HSiCl.sub.3. Also the use of the catalyst in olefin polymerization is disclosed.
