ABSTRACT:
A wax for thermal ink transfer, which consists essentially of a reaction product of an .alpha.-olefin having an average carbon number of from 16 to 100 with maleic anhydride, said reaction product having a weight average polymerization degree of from 1 to 100 and which has a heat of fusion of not higher than 40 cal/g.
