ABSTRACT:
The invention provides Glucose 6-Phosphate Dehydrogenase gene polypeptides and DNA (RNA) encoding Glucose 6-Phosphate Dehydrogenase gene polypetides and methods for producing such polypeptides by recombinant techniques. Also provided are methods for utilizing Glucose 6-Phosphate Dehydrogenase gene polypeptide for the protection against infection, particularly bacterial infections.
