ABSTRACT:
A piperazine compound of the formula: ##STR1## wherein: X is carbonyl or sulfonyl;
Y is a direct bond or lower alkylene; and
R.sub.1, R.sub.2, R.sub.3, R.sub.4 are as defined herein. The compounds are advantageously used as Tachykinin antagonists in the treatment of respiratory diseases, ophthalmic diseases and inflammatory diseases, for example.
