ABSTRACT:
A process for preparing an aromatic aldehyde represented by the following general formula: ##STR1## wherein R.sub.1 and R.sub.2 each represents a hydrogen atom or a lower alkyl group or R.sub.1 and R.sub.2 may jointly form an alkylene group, provided that R.sub.1 and R.sub.2 do not represent a hydrogen atom at the same time.
