ABSTRACT:
A method of preparing a capillary heat-pipe wicking structure comprises the steps of (a) disposing an inner surface of a tubing in contact with a solution containing a salt of a thermally conductive metal and (b) depositing the metal from said solution upon said surface so as to form a porous metallic layer thereon constituting the capillary heat-pipe wicking structure.
