ABSTRACT:
In a print control system for use in printing a sequence of variable length data to form a report having a plurality of partial print areas, the variable length data sequence is divided into a plurality of partial data sections which are related to the partial print areas and which might leave blank partial print areas on the report due to shortness of the variable length data sequence. Physical or actual allocation of the variable length data to blank partial print areas is suppressed by an allocation section under control of an allocation control section when suppression of the allocation is indicated by a program controller. The allocation control section becomes active to send an allocation control signal to the allocation section only when the suppression of allocation signal is received. Such suppression may be described in a nonprocedural language.
