ABSTRACT:
A silver halide photosensitive material is described which comprises at least one layer of a silver halide emulsion layer provided on a base, wherein said at least one silver halide emulsion layer comprises at least one novel dye compound represented by general formula (I): ##STR1## wherein Z.sub.1 and Z.sub.2 are independently represents a sulfur atom or a selenium atom;
