ABSTRACT:
The present invention relates to new compositions and methods for the regulation of plant growth, especially for prevention of lodging, promotion of fruit abscission, acceleration of ripening and sap flow, breaking of seed dormancy, advancement of sprouting, inhibition of germination and rhizome development or inhibition by utilizing a coacting mixture of a N-heterocyclic amide having one hetero-nitrogen atom per 5- or 6- membered ring and a haloalkyl silane having the formula: ##STR1## wherein X is a chlorine, bromine or iodine atom;
