ABSTRACT:
Compounds of the formula ##STR1## wherein each R' is independently hydrogen, one, two or three of halogen, lower alkyl or lower alkoxy and R" is methyl, ethyl, allyl or a phenyl, are described. These compounds are useful as intermediates in preparing penems and carbapenems.
