Quinolonecarboxylic acids, such as 6-fluoro-1,4-dihydro-8-methyl-4-oxo-1-(2,2,2-trifluoroethyl)-3-quinoloneca rboxylic acid, ethyl ester, useful for control of certain bacterial plant diseases, such as fire blight of apple, pear and soft rot of potato, and gall formation on herbaceous and woody plants.
