ABSTRACT:
It has been found that a novel antibiotic can be obtained by the fermentation of certain strains of Streptomyces olivaceus and related organisms. In addition to being a potent antibiotic this new material which we have designated MM13902 acts synergistically with penicillins and cephalosporins.
