ABSTRACT:
The invention provides a method of forming a spectrally sensitized emulsion comprising providing a silver bromoiodide emulsion, adding sensitizing dye ##STR1## X.sup.+ is a cation other than N-alkyl pyridinium, adding an N-alkyl pyridinium salt, and completing the heat cycle for sensitization.
