ABSTRACT:
A movement vector detection apparatus having a binary coding section for converting an input image signal into a two-value signal, a calculation section for calculating a correlation between images by using the two-value signal output from the binary coding section, a detection section for detecting a movement vector by using correlation values calculated by the calculation section, an evaluation section for evaluating a plurality of movement vectors detected by the detection section on the basis of correlation values calculated by the calculation section, and a determination section for determining a particular movement vector from the plurality of movement vectors evaluated by the evaluation section. Also, an image processor having an input section for inputting an image signal, a memory section for storing the image signal, a separation section for separating a luminance signal from the image signal, a binary coding section for converting the luminance signal separated by the separation section into a two-value signal, an image shake detection section for detecting a shake of the input image signal by using the two-value signal output from the binary coding section, and a read section for reading an image from the memory section according to an output from the image shake detection section.
